Pinot Noir 2001
These grapes were hand selected from the crop for their premium quality. It has a deep burgundy colour and the palate is peppery, blueberry with a strong oak influence. A drink for the bold who like a dry red. This was our first wine and was awarded a Commendation at the 2001 Victorian Wines Show. Not a bad effort for our first vintage!
“LUCKY BASTARD” Pinot Noir 2003
We have now bottled the LUCKY BASTARD 2003 Pinot Reserve vintage. If you were lucky enough to try the 2001 Reserve (which won a commendation at the Victorian wine show) you will be happy to hear that the 2003 vintage has the same characteristics. Bold, good fruit characters, rich chocolaty hints. NOW AVAILABLE.
Rose 2003 & 2004
Look what the drought gave us. At pre-ripening it was decided to pick some of the Pinot grapes (about 3 tons) and make an exclusive Rosé. This brew was blended to create a beautiful semi-dry, strawberry, peachy drink – great for the girls! This one is definitely a permanent on our menu. Gently sweet, best served chilled. 2004 Vintage is also currently available.
Verdelho – Gently sweet
What can I tell you about this drink? We have had the most compliments on this wine by everyone – even people who prefer reds. Its melony and floral aromas hit you first, and then your palate is refreshed by the semi-sweet freshness. Try this with antipasto or pasta, you won’t be able to stop at one – WARNING – 13.5%, make sure you are spending the night. It has even converted a few non-wine drinkers.
